There are different types of Laminating Machines depending on what category you prefer. The major types include the Cold and Hot Laminators. Hot Laminators are further classified as Pouch Laminators and Roll Laminators.

Pouch laminators are the most common laminators found in homes or offices. These are what people frequently purchase, especially when heavy usage of the machine is not required. These may be used for identification cards, documents, photos, and other items found at home or in the office.

In order to effectively laminate an item, it should first be placed inside the pouch which is sized according to the dimensions of the item. After such, the pouch is placed inside a carrier made of soft card board. This carrier protects the item from too much heat from the machine. The item to be laminated is inserted in the Laminating Machine with the sealed part of the pouch first. The item would then come out of from the back of the machine with a glossy finish and a durable covering.

Roll Laminators on the other hand are used for heavy industrial usage. This may be able to laminate objects with bigger dimensions such as banners, posters or publicity materials. The item to be laminated is inserted at once in the tray found in the machine. As it goes through it, the roll laminates which are found initially installed in the machine, does its job by instantly covering the item while it passes through.

Some Roll Laminating Machines are comprised of two big rolls of laminates, while some have 4 rolls in it. The proper laminator should be used depending on how frequent it is intended to be used and what materials are to be laminated. This type of laminator can accommodate items one after another given that proper spacing is given in between items.

Cold Laminating Machines on the other hand has variants such as pouch and roll laminators. The advantage of this laminator is that it doesn’t need electricity to be able to function. It enables the material to be laminated by applying pressure on the material and the laminate. This is ideal for items which are heat sensitive and melts when heat is applied.

Some printers produce print outs whose inks melt whenever heat is applied. With these materials, cold laminators are the ones which are best to use. It functions the same as heat laminators, giving it an equally durable and hard covering protecting it from external factor which may damage the item.

Laminating Machines are becoming more popular each day because of the advantages that it gives us. Not only are they able to protect our most precious documents and keepsakes, it also increases the value of our items by preserving it.

Laminators are inventions which are very useful because of what it offers us. It doesn’t necessarily mean that we need to purchase big laminators in order to enjoy its benefits as there are a lot of shops offering lamination services to fit our needs.
